So I redesigned it to be a Subterror Counter Trap (and a very powerful one at that). If it proves to be worth it after more tests on DuelingBook, I think I'll stick with it.Īlso, since you mentioned thinks Subterrors need, I did this due to the actual card featuring Subterrors. But I play it due to realizing a little trick with it after I saw a 1st place OCG deck profile of Subterrors on YGOrganzation: Temple of the Kings allows you to activate Subterror Final Battle twice in the (subsequent) turns after it resets itself after each activation. So Geartown might not help as much as we'd want it to.Īlso, Temple of the Kings isn't a Field Spell. But Geartown's not a bad idea if I can somehow fit in an Ancient Gear Monster, but that's only if I don't search a Field Spell with the last part of Ancient Fairy Dragon's effect if I chose to search after I gain 1000 LP, Geartown's effect to Special Summon misses timing (it's a "When" not "If" effect). I went with Gateway to Chaos just to give it to the opponent so they can't ever activate any Field Spells until I blow it up with Ancient Fairy Dragon. Not to mention Double Summon is a lot cheaper than Gem-Knight Seraphinite. It's two cards to have the same result verses nine (5 Predaplants, 3 Brilliant Fusion, 2 Gem Knights, and at least one LIGHT monster).

I thought about the Brilliant Fusion engine but I'm trying to stay as close to 40 cards as possible so I went with the more "roomy" (and cheaper, if I want to buy this all in real life) alternative of Double Summon. Use Guru to flip itself and Ancient Fairy Dragon face down, then use Fiendess' effect and start going off.

Dragon Ravine is more searchable for the deck than Armageddon Knight, and by being able to immediately summon Ancient Fairy Dragon off it, you can blow up Ravine with Ancient Fairy Dragon to search The Hidden City, which then searches Guru.
